Sometimes we’ll learn enough to know straight away that a gambling website is simply not up to the high standards we require and therefore won’t be eligible for our recommendation. This can be for any number of reasons, but one thing guaranteed to get a site excluded from our lists is if we’re not 100% confident it’s safe and trustworthy.

Playing free casino slots is the perfect way to unwind, relax, and simply enjoy your favorite games as entertainment – without getting caught up in chasing wins. Just because you are a registered casino player does not mean you have to play for real money each time. If you feel like you want to take it easy for a while, you can request a cooling off period during which only free slots will be availed under your account. Even though slot games are the cheapest online casino games yet, they are also the most played. Slots bring in a bigger share of casino earnings than all other games combined. This means the average player can spend hundreds of dollars a month, so don't be fooled by the coin slot.

Also in September 2006, just before adjourning for the midterm elections, both the House of Representatives and Senate passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (as a section of the unrelated SAFE Port Act) to make transactions from banks or similar institutions to online gambling sites illegal. This differed from a previous bill passed only by the House that expanded the scope of the Wire Act. The passed bill only addressed banking issues. The Act was signed into law on October 13, 2006, by President George W. Bush. At the UIGEA bill-signing ceremony, Bush did not mention the Internet gambling measure, which was supported by the National Football League but opposed by banking groups. The regulation called for in the UIGEA was issued in November 2008.

Barney Frank (D-MA) introduced HR 2046, the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act, which would modify UIGEA by providing a provision for licensing of Internet gambling facilities by the director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. Several similar bills have been introduced since then in the House and Senate.
Note that we are an informational resource only, featuring reviews and recommendations of casinos, games, and bonuses. We are not a casino and no gambling with real money takes place on this site. But even the very best gambling sites aren’t perfect. You can rely on us to point out flaws and areas where sites can improve. That’s really the whole point of providing reviews in the first place.
